item types can be used to attach internal company data (like our internal order numbers) to each part. Once the component is placed, a report can be generated to build a material list including company specific information.
Add something like this to a Rules Engine so we can establish different Item Type assignments based on a component used in different catalogs. (ex. Catch Basin may be similar but rely on different Item Types between regions/projects, etc)
