We love the project location feature, which in turn sets up the map and the weather widget. We generate all of our IFC projects via automation so having the ability to set a project location with just a geospatial location vs having to use the graphic tool of drawing a rectangle would be so much simpler and faster. A basic geospatial pin. Which would then set the map centre and the weather widget. If it needed to be adjusted post creation then the graphic interface could be used.
Here's a more detailed expansion on this that would allow users to precisely set the pin location of the project. Users often have many BIC projects in the same geographic boundary location which make discerning these projects inside the Project Portfolio viewer difficult since they overlap. For example, a water or rail network boundary can span many 100’s of miles and there can be many projects (treatment plants, pump stations, rails stations, etc) inside of this global project boundary. The ask is to allow a user to specify a marker that identifies the project center of interest location instead of just defaulting to the Project Boundary Center. See attached word file for an Illustrated Example.of the issue and the ask
