Business Need

Organizations using Forms Management must regularly perform governance, compliance, and audit reviews to validate that Role-based permissions are correctly configured across all form types.

Currently, permissions are managed through the Manage Forms > Permissions Manager interface. However, there is no native capability to export the complete Roles vs. Permissions matrix, forcing administrators to manually review and document each permission screen.

For projects with multiple roles (such as BIM Team, Site Inspectors, Contractors, Management, Quality Teams, and Administrators) and numerous form categories, this manual process is time-consuming, error-prone, and difficult to maintain.

Requested Enhancement

Please provide one or both of the following capabilities:

1. Native Export Functionality

   • Export the complete Permissions Manager matrix to Excel (.xlsx) or CSV.

   • Include:

     • Form Type

     • Role Name

     • View Permission

     • Create Permission

     • Modify/Edit Permission

     • Approve Permission

     • Delete Permission

     • Any additional available permission types

   • Support export across all projects and form templates.

2. API Access

   • Provide a public API endpoint that allows administrators to retrieve Forms permission configurations programmatically.

   • Enable integration with governance, compliance, audit, and reporting solutions.

   • Support automated extraction of:

     • Roles

     • Form categories/types

     • Assigned permissions

     • Permission inheritance (if applicable)

Current Workaround

The only available method is manually reviewing each Permissions Manager screen and recording permissions individually, which is inefficient and prone to oversight, especially in large projects with many roles and form types.

This enhancement would significantly improve administration and governance capabilities for organizations managing large-scale projects and needing regular permission audits.

This capability is critical for organizations operating under ISO 9001, ISO 19650, internal governance policies, and external audit requirements where permission transparency and traceability are mandatory.
