Need notification for file upload (out of the transmittal process)

Currently if someone wants to share a file he/she must use the transmittal process and select the recipients to share this file. Then the selected recipients will receive a notification email related to this transmittal.

Is there a way for a person to upload a file and certain recipients to be notified that the file has been uploaded without going though the transmittal process?

    If the recipients are participants of the project, files can be shared via link. Select the file, click on Get Link and select the type of link you want to copy. Send this link via email.
