PW Drive: Run workflow actions (Rules Engine) from the context menu

The objective of this feature enhancement request is to expand the functionality of ProjectWise Drive by integrating the same "Workflow" menu options available in the Web/365 interface into the ProjectWise Drive context menu.

This will provide users with a more seamless and consistent experience across platforms, while simplifying and streamlining the process of executing workflow actions using the Rules Engine.

The desired outcome will include:

  1. Addition of a new "Workflow" submenu in the context menu of ProjectWise Drive, mirroring the existing menu found in the web interface.

  2. Inclusion of all existing workflow actions (e.g., approval, rejection, review, etc.) from the web interface, ensuring users have access to the same functionality.

  3. Integration with the Rules Engine to automatically trigger corresponding workflows upon user selection of an action from the context menu.

Adding to the above ( as we have users interacting with the system exclusively using the drive)

When we drag and drop document(s) we should have the option to replace or create a new version (especially when dragging multiple documents at once)

The reason to have a replace warning is to make user aware of the action being taken place

    For the new version
As of now the drag and drop » create a new version . . . . . is not supported by the WRE if the file exist.

    1. We have to create a new version of the document, using the web client or PWDI.

    2. Once the new version is create we notify the user.

    3. He can then drag'n drop his files in ProjectWise drive, which will replace the current file.
