This capability allows connecting external datasets to graphical elements. Below are few of the use cases

• During a design review, an engineer may need to see risks and hazards associated with an asset. Risks are stored in external database and this capability will allow pulling the relevant risks and displaying them along with asset information

• During a design review, an engineer may need to see documents associated with an asset. Documents may be stored in external system such as sharepoint or documentum and this capability will allow pulling the relevant risks and displaying them along with asset information

How Should it work ?

This capability is already implemented in other viewers such as OCP, MDT and Plant Sight. The component is already available as a PAI component that can be integrated with unified viewer in infrastructure cloud. Impementing this component will provide this capability in unified viewer
