Some 3D models might have elements that fly around very far away. Currently, if they are classified as outliers they are completely cut off from the imodel to enable fitting the view.
While everybody appreciates model quality and these elements should be corrected here is two potential practical use cases where you cannot ignoreoutliers:
quantitiy take-off: lets say one big block of concrete is placed very far away and ignored. This has an influence over the overall amount of concrete but when checked with the imodel it will never be displayed
clash check: lets say an asset is placed very far away and ignored. The asset must fit into the building, which means it can potentially cause clashes in its designated space
These use cases show that a functionality that detects outliers and lets the BIM coordinator jump to this location is necessary. After checking you can create issues and assign them to the authors of the offset element.
