Need the ability to create alert notifications that users can turn on for a particular folder and/or documents. For example, a user could be notified when new documents land in a particular folder. This doesn't need to be part of workflows and states. Just a simple checkbox of alerts that could be applied to a folder that would be emailed to the user.
My vote is for subject idea. If this will be implemented, then user don't need to go in system and check for action items. Outlook mail notification will take care of it, and it will enhance user experience as well as configuration team can develop several strategies for document review / approval process and many more. I highly recommend implementing this idea.
