When using design applications, such as MicroStation, BRCM, OPM, etc. users can sometimes experience crashes in their design files that close their file and application. This triggers the check-in process into ProjectWise and most users automatically check the file in. The problem is that the crashed file may be corrupted and unusable, but this is not known until it is re-opened. If the file is checked in, it overwrites the last good file. I suggest that ProjectWise check to see if the file experienced a crash or error before check in. If it detects that, than automatically or prompt the user to check in the file as a new version. This keeps the old version intact as a potential backup in case the new file is corrupted.
