The Modify window is due for a redesign to adopt a table style.

The header would match the active view, if need more columns could be add.

Using and excel sheet on the side. As long as the number of columns and rows match, we could copy and paste from excel to the modify table.

Prior to commit we could dry run the modify is we have error. and commit if no error.

Another way to implement is to have direct modification from within the view. no need an extra window.
