A new ICS for PDF rendering service

The current service based on InterPlot Organizer is getting very old now and subject to problems. It doesn't always render dwg files with acceptable fidelity. Can have issues with its working area that have required us to get MAS to do a clean-up as it is using outdated versions of files (particularly reference files). As a result, the benefits of using it are outweighed by a lack of trust in its results and a need to check every rendition for accuracy. If not a new service, then some fork needs to be done to improve its robustness and the fidelity of the outputs.

ICS uses MicroStation (or another Bentley application) as its print engine. Therefore DWG fidelity, in part, is dependent on having the correct configuration in place and if necessary, the correct object enablers. (Example: Civil 3D)

Installing MSTN 2024.1 or later is recommended

If iCS is using older versions of reference files to create its output, it is likely because one or more DWG files are actually targeting old references. To test for this, a user can purge their local working directory, and then remove all residual files and folders from their hard drive. Then open one of the DWG files that is printing the correct references. If the file opens with the same outdated references, this indicates the problem is with reference file management, not ICS.

We see this often with Civil 3D Data Shortcuts.
