PDFing Office documents into ProjectWise

I would like to request that PDFing from Microsoft Office products to work similarly to PDFing from Microstation-based applications, within reason due to app differences, for a consistent experience.

With ProjectWise Integration enabled for Office products, users are unable to Print to PDF MS Word, Excel, etc documents with the ability to directly place them into ProjectWise DI. While the Save As and Open menus of the Office Suite apps will open into PWDI, the various print options to PDF available will not do so. This seems to have been non-functional for quite some time, persisting across multiple ProjectWise Explorer versions.

One workaround to saving a PDF into ProjectWise is to Save As to a PDF, which will allow the user to place and create a PDF file within PWDI; however this is not an obvious workflow and would only be used for saving within ProjectWise making it an inefficient one. It also does not allow versioning the PDF with the document wizard and attempts to overwrite PDF documents without use of document wizard results in a (1), (2), etc. suffix.

Another workaround is to utilize ProjectWise Drive just for printing, but we do not wish to introduce more usage of that app at this time.

With the inability to print PDFs of office documents from within the applications, this limits use of ProjectWise with Office functionality and creates an inconsistent experience across integrated applications.
