We invite external participants so they can have their own PWDM.
Once a transmission is sent ( for information), the externals would need to add comments directly on the native PDF.
Being external they do not have a direct access to the pdf.
Request is to allow external participants to RMB on a document inside a transmission for info,.
From there the contextual menu would allow to locate the document in the main project..
Once reach the location, the externals could then add comments to the pdf.

What is the impact of not doing this?
We will have several suppliers that will be connected as externals to the main project ( we talk 100@300) and not all comments need to be process from within a transmission formal review. |
Have you considered allowing external participants to markup the pdf within a transmission and then once they respond and send their markups, exporting the marked up pdf and saving it as a version of the original pdf?
A user can only access documents in a project if they are a team member of it. So, if you would want the externals to make markups on the original pdf, you would have to add them as Team members to a project instead of inviting them as external organization.
