Before ProjectWise Drive was listed in the Fulfilment Centre, users were alerted to later releases via the PW365 project's Web interface for Drive (attached image). This provided users with the ability to download and attempt to install the advertised version. If users did not have local admin permissions, the installation would fail.

Larger organisations often require more centralised control and distribution of applications, and PWD is no exception. What are the options to control users' ability to download PWD?

Bentley's current proposal is to manage an exception list of users permitted to download PWD via the ProjectWise Web interface.

Now that PWD is available from the Fulfillment Centre, is it possible to disable the ability for all users to download a newer version from the Web interface whilst still displaying the alert that a new version is available? Failing that, is it possible to suppress the entire download message line?
