Hi ProjectWise365 Ideas team,
Our Western Power Users are reporting that when they click on PDF drawings and schematics in ProjectWise Web View, it opens in a PW “viewer” instead of opening as a PDF in a separate browser tab or window.
Currently there is no option to open PDF drawings/schematics in a new browser tab, request you to add that was previously available.
Below are the previous and current options:
PREVIOUSLY – when clicked on a document a separate browser tab/window opens (quick, zoomed to screen, all common tools available) image attached.
NOW - when clicked on a document, a PW viewer opens in same browser window (slow, not zoomed, missing tools), image attached.
Can you please have a look at the system and let me know if there is a setting that would allow us to automatically open drawings/schematics in a separate browser tab or window (as it was before), and if there is no settings, Kindly help restoring this functionality.

Agree this is painful and prevents users from being able to open more than one document at a time or compare documents without downloading. This should also be the case when reviewing documents in Deliverables Management, opening the PDF's in new tabs allows the reviewers to open and review documents side by side and prevents people taking the documents offline to review.
and when a user has no IMS account inside PWDI the user has to login to PDF Viewer each time he wants to view a PDF; alternative now is to downlaod the PDF (first click9 and from downloads folder open the PDF in new Browser tab (second click)
I very strongly second this!
This recent change to PDF viewing has made the user experience of Web View Infuriating.
