So would we be trying to move photos from ProjectWise into a Cloud based Org / Project type storage facility that allowed you to categorize and tag those photos much like you could do with Components today?

This is an idea that has been floating around in the Bentley communities as well.
On this particular project we currently have thousands of photo’s and thousands more over the next 10-12 years. By linking the photo repositories to ProjectWise explorer it would be easier to include photo’s on forms/documents or to share the links with other users.

As this is a secure project specifics are hard to explain, but we have 50,000+ forms (a serious amount underestimate) that all have heritage photos attached, investigations photo’s attached.
We send people and contractors to the job site, there are hundreds of photo’s taken then as well, if it were easily linked and or accessible security would be able to approve a bank of photo’s for project use. We currently have nearly 800 users for this project alone, (not to mention all the other companies projects) and all users I have spoken with would like to see this.
Even the marketing team would love something like this to vet the press release photo’s..

We use photos for the following;

Marketing,
Heritage collections,
Database creations,
Sending info including photos to conservators,
Security,
Archaeology
Building investigations…

I can show you thousands of photos currently living within PW explorer

Hi Candace,

would it be possible to get an idea of which group or role in your organization might use this feature, why they'd use it and how often? When you say connected to ProjectWise Explorer would it be a dialog that was available from there or would it get content from there? What's the advantage of having it integrated with Explorer as opposed to available in the design app or the report engine directly?
