Persistent Export Paths for Document Dashboard Exports

1. Current Situation (The Pain Point): Currently, when exporting a PDF from the dashboard to a specific folder, the system requires the user to manually navigate to the destination path every single time. While the search tool (magnifying glass) is available, it still requires repetitive manual input for every new export session.

2. Proposed Improvement: Implement a "Sticky Path" or "Remember Last Location" functionality for exports. The system should automatically suggest the last used folder path as the default destination for the next export within the same project or session.

3. Suggested Implementation Options:

  • MRU (Most Recently Used): A dropdown menu showing the last 3-5 used paths.

  • Default Project Path: A setting within the project configuration to define a default "Exports" folder.

  • Session Persistence: Simply remembering the last folder selected until the application is closed.

4. Expected Benefits:

  • Efficiency: Significant reduction in repetitive clicks and navigation time.

  • User Experience: A more fluid and modern workflow, aligned with other industry-standard design tools.

  • Error Reduction: Minimizes the risk of saving files in the wrong directories due to manual navigation fatigue.
