It would be great to have a local document organizer for ProjectWise Drive & Web to know through different tabs:
the documents out to ourselves (check out documents) with a possibility to check in them.
the files copied locally in Drive in folders where we don't always synchronize with the possibility to purge the local copies + the possibility to force a resynchronization.
the folders that we always synchronize with the possibility to remove this option + the possibility to remove this option and purge local copies + the possibility to force a resynchronization.
the files currently in synchronization to check that all have been synchronized (user case is to wait the end of the synchronization before shutting down the PC or to see issues with some files not synchronizing). An access to a log with more details and synchronization failed would be appreciate.
The concept of “purging files" does not apply to PW Drive. Your files are not “copied’ locally as they are with ProjectWise Explorere and your local working directory. With PWD, your files are either in the cloud, a available for synchronized download, or they are already available on your PC and being synchronized to the cloud. To "free up space" on your local hard drive, simply right click on a folder or a file and select free up space. You can do this for one folder, or an entire project.
The choice to turn on or turn off "always available on this device" is already possible.
You can already monitor your checked out documents from the web interface.
about local purge, provide a tool to purge all files in one clic, not folder by folder.
