In ProjectWise the Get Link functionality is missing option to lock link to version.

This causes many issues because there are many situations when:

-Active version is in State 1 to which access is granted for User group 1. Then the link is generated and send .

-Then new version is created and the State is getting changed to State 2 which is restricted to only User group 2.

In such case when users from User group 1 are clicking on link generated as above, they get error that do not have access.

However User group 1 has access to version the file which is in State 2.

But because of not having access to current version User group 1 after clicking link they get error “you do now have access” and nothing happens. Turning on Show all versions before clicking the link is not solving the problem .

Having option to lock link to version would be very helpful in avoiding these problems. It’s worth noting that giving access to all versions of the files is not acceptable by ISO 19650 Standards.
