Due to an organization recently becoming federated and no longer able to use a logical account tied to a Bentley IMS account.
With Bentley's help, the organization has NOSSO account set up for their Bridge Office IMS account. They can get to packages coming in for PWDM using the NOSSO account.
An issue that they’re seeing is that the package that contains their files will be stored in the cloud project and won’t get stored to ProjectWise as there’s no connection between the package and ProjectWise Explorer.
Of course, when packages are sent from the organization's external partners (Consultants/Contractors) the packages come in from PWDM to a user’s email inbox, they click on a button/link in the notification email. There's a redirect that will direct the user to ProjectWise to view the package so the organization's internal users can respond accordingly.
I would like an enhancement that will give a user the option to view the package from PWDM on the Bentley portal or add an option for a redirect to launch the users ProjectWise Explorer app and display the package like it operates upon new package submittals currently?
Practical use of functionality?
User needs the package documents to be downloaded to PWE vs saved locally on user's computer. |
|
What is the impact of not doing this?
Package docs are saved on user's local computer and additional steps are necessary to place them in PW. |
Is the cloud ProjectWise project that the user is using associated with ProjectWise Explorer work area?
Can you check if in project Deliverables Management notifications settings all notifications contain {Package URL - Portal + PWE} variable?
