Is it possible to have an out of office / rule setup for when a user is on leave for RFIs that they are sent.
As we are unable to send to more than 1 'To' contact queries can be left unanswered until users returns to work.
an option for user to redirect / post message within Deliverables manager within a set date range would prevent delays to responses
I would consider that in some circumstances (in particular with site personnel) responding to RFIs, there may be instances of role sharing or back-to-back rosters where an individual may take over responsibilities from another on a regular basis. It would be very difficult for a Doc Controller to monitor the movements and rosters of site personnel. In these cases, it would be ideal to have a Deliverables Management "RFI Admin" Role which can be assigned to individuals in these circumstances. This would enable them to delegate RFI's to themself or others where required without having full DM admin rights to change settings etc? DM permissions need an overhaul.
My POV - Its a document control task or any PIC to keep an eye on outstanding RFIs. An internal workflow / RFI procedure must have been or should be setup re: review of RFIs , so can at least delegate it to the next person when on leave. And the RFI responders, should be responsible enough to delegate his task since he is going on leave . However, with the nature of RFIs mostly in construction industry at the very least, most of the queries would have cost implications, and in this case I don't think this is something that can easily be passed on to other user unless otherwise he takes full responsibility of his responses.
