Proposal: Introducing Enhanced Transmittal Connection and Reference Feature
We have identified situations where it becomes necessary to establish connections between two or more transmittals without utilizing the resend new version or forwarding tools. To address this, we propose the implementation of an enhanced feature that allows for the development of connections between transmittals through the addition of multiple transmittal references. These references will appear as hyperlinks under the status field for the recipients, providing easy access to related transmittals.
To facilitate this feature, we suggest incorporating a separate tab labeled "Add Reference" within the transmittal drafting interface. This tab will enable users to establish connections between transmittals by conveniently linking them together. To further illustrate this functionality, we have attached images showcasing the proposed feature.
See attached images.
Practical use of functionality?
By implementing this enhanced transmittal connection and reference feature, we aim to enhance the traceability and accessibility of related transmittals, streamlining communication and document management processes. |

What is the impact of not doing this?
Chances of losing linkage between the two transmittals. |
thanks for taking this up.
Would this feature need to support cross package links and one to many links?
Answer: Yes, better if we can multi select cross references
Does reporting need to be considered aswell?
Yes
Thank you for your idea, please can you provide more information on the problem this would resolve. Would this feature need to support cross package links and one to many links? Does reporting need to be considered aswell?
